This year Mark Flynn from Jeol UK Ltd, was voted as the 2011 Engineer of the Year and Mark Forrest from Carl Zeiss came a close second (click on the 2011 tab above to find out more).

In view of the generous support of our trade sponsors and the assistance provided by their service engineers to keep our microscopes functioning we would like to you to nominate an 'Engineer of the Year'. At each SMG symposium the engineer with  the most nominations will be awarded the title of 'Engineer of the Year', this will be in recognition of outstanding service provided by that engineer to microscopy end users. You will have the opportunity to nominate an engineer when you pick up your registration pack at the registration desk on the day of the symposium. We hope you will have fun in choosing your 'Engineer of the Year'!
